PS2 MDDN 342 2016 - Origami
The challenge for this piece was to create a font that could animate between its letters. The inspiration for the typeface was a folding piece of paper, as any letter can be created by bending a simple strip of paper. The animation is based on the folding motion of the paper, and each letter can transition to any other by simply adjusting the positions of its joints. Overall the Origami font has a unique transition between letters that creates a dynamic, engaging visual effect.
