Tree Rings and Temperature Variations in the Southern Hemisphere, 1850-1981

Mapping tree ring data over time gives us a sense of patterns of growth and decline in the earth's forests. This chart plots the difference between each year's average temperature against the global mean from 1850 to 1981 in the Southern Hemisphere.
